Why this, why now
When something is not working I am a big believer in re-examining, pivoting or changing course. Since starting seminary, I have felt that much of my creative energy has gone towards my studies. Instead of blogging I am researching and writing papers. Furthermore, having given birth to two more children, I am even more preoccupied by other tasks. The need to be creative, to write, to draw does not go away. However, the big reason for this shift from my old blog space (which is not going away anytime soon) is to create a new space where a more interactive community can be fostered.
What can you expect?
In this space, I will be writing from the perspective of a mother and a seminary student. I will critique and question and also share my opinions on many different ideas and things. Some of these things include: homebirth, art, seasonal cooking, spiritual formation, and conscious parenting. Eventually, I hope to add a podcast or audio component.
Free subscribers can expect an essay once a week, as well as a peek into what paid subscribers will have access to. When I launch my paid subscription, paid subscribers can expect additional offerings such as full access to a bonus essay, downloadable and printable art and recipes.
